《门铭》全文翻译

《门铭》全文翻译如下:

穆门 吉日立   to stand a gate-post

天命洪荒  并立本末    the vast cosmos in its 

                        growing process

千秋万古来  静观变移   stand amidst the fleeting 

                        changes over the millenia

世事茫茫  昼夜辉映     in the endless stream of 

                        things, seen in light and 

                        darkness

万物生长   欲语成言      all beings grow,

                 struggling to express something  

                       beyond themselves

壮心横空 出于唯一     with a magnificent spirit

               derived from the One

仰止苍苍  俯拜黄土        gazing upward at the vast

                          sky, bowing to the very dust      

方此之地   多少英雄         on this very spot, how many

                                 heroes  

为前走一遭  为后启示         forging ahead, providing 

                               examples for those who follow

每一步皆沧桑         我亦原在其中          with every step come remembrance

                                of the past, I too was once 

                                 part of it

万人巍巍  孤我独行     amidst the ranks of the many, 

                       i walked alone

此去经年       归来犹新           though I am gone these many

                                      years, returning, I am still fresh

忆往之情  深似潭水  the memories are as deep as a pond

今视昔观      无痕罗拂         gazing back now, traces fade unnoticed
