Here is a step-by-step guide to make a mini pop-up book:

Materials Needed:

- Paper (construction paper, cardstock or scrapbooking paper works well)

- Ruler

- Pencil

- Scissors

- Glue (glue stick or liquid glue)

- Decorative items like stickers, ribbons, glitter, etc. (optional)

Steps:

1. Decide on the theme for your pop-up book. This could be based on a story, a person, place, idea, etc.

2. Sketch out the basic layout and number of pages. Pop-up books usually have an even number of pages like 4, 6 or 8. Sketch what pop-up elements or scenes you want on each page.

3. Measure and cut out paper for the pages. Cut rectangular strips that are the same width. The length can vary depending on the height of the pop-up elements.

4. On the first page, draw fold lines to create the pop-up shapes. Cut along the fold lines leaving small tabs at the bottom uncut.

5. Fold along the cut lines and glue the tabs underneath to form the pop-up shapes. Let dry.

6. Create the pop-ups for the remaining pages in the same way. Vary the shapes and dimensions for interest.

7. Arrange the finished pop-up pages in order and orient them all to face the same way.

8. Glue the pages together along one edge. Let dry completely before moving.

9. Decorate the pages as desired with drawings, designs, stickers or other materials.

10. Trim construction paper to create a front and back cover. Glue these to the first and last pages.

11. Your mini pop-up book is now complete! Carefully turn the pages to bring the pop-ups to life. Store flat to preserve the pop-ups.
